In the Yucatán jungle, there is a legacy of site-specific artworks that originated as commissions to two contemporary artists, James Turrell and Jorge Pardo, through a dialogue with the surrounding territory, jungle, and culture. Each work is experienced as a place of retreat—a space for contemplation and research.
These are privately owned works that, under TAE’s stewardship, form part of an ecosystem dedicated to biocultural conservation and regeneration.
